She was born Jan. 15, 1925, in New York City, N.Y., to the late Katherine and John O'Boyle, and moved to Washington, D.C. with her mother and sister shortly after the death of her father. She attended Eastern High School and made frequent trips to Beverly Beach and Annapolis, where she met her future husband, Earle F. Myers. From 1956 through 1987, she taught kindergarten, first and second grades at St. Mary's Elementary School. She retired from St. Mary's in 1989 after serving as the Administrative Assistant to the Principal.
A longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church, she was a regular volunteer in parish events, especially the annual carnival which was held each August. She also volunteered her time at the Annapolis Police Dept for 10 years alongside her friend, Josephine Bembe. From 1987 until her passing, she was a regular volunteer with the Anne Arundel Medical Center Auxiliary, both at its former Franklin Street location and at its new Jennifer Road facility. Along with her volunteer work, she was an avid reader of contemporary fiction.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Earle F. Myers.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I remember Mrs. Myers from my school days. She always had a smile on her face and hug to share. She was and is an Angel of God.

I knew Miss Mary from the Sajak Pavillion for the past few years. The highlight of my week was speaking with her every Tuesday and Thursday morning on my way to the coffee shop. She was smart and funny and always had a wonderful story to tell. I know that I personally will miss her tremendously as I'm sure the rest of the staff at the Sajak will. My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
