Matthew George Peeler

Matthew George Peeler, 58, of Richmond, VA; born in Annapolis, MD; loving father of Julie Michelle Peeler of Richmond, VA, Andrew George Peeler of Denver, CO, Thomas James Peeler of Richmond, VA; adored son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard N. Peeler of Annapolis, MD; and devoted brother of Lauren Peeler Brice and husband Samuel McLain Brice of Annapolis, MD, Anne Peeler Hahn of Annapolis, MD, Karen Peeler Moynahan of Herndon, VA, and Mark O'Brien Peeler, MD and wife Susan Todd Peeler, MD of Annapolis, MD, lost his life on Monday, September 18, 2017. Matthew attended Villanova University and Saint Mary's School (K-12); was an active member of his community, having served as a volunteer for various organizations; enjoyed and participated in various sports activities; and loved being on the water. He drew people around him, and shared with each of them the bounty of his generosity. He is survived by his immediate family as well as many nieces and nephews, Peter Andrew Brice and wife Catherine Marafino Brice of Annapolis, MD; Margaret Claire Hahn of San Francisco, CA, David Richard Hahn of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Anne Hahn of Baltimore, MD; Meaghan Sullivan Moynahan of Baileys Harbor, WI, Patrick Shea Moynahan of Los Angeles, CA; and Sarah Zoe Peeler and William Harger Peeler of Annapolis, MD. A Catholic Mass will be offered for Matthew at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. Interment will be private.
