Michael Posner Obituary
Michael Benjamin Posner, 50, a 13-year resident of Hawaii died on July 29, 2014. Born on August 7, 1963, he grew up in Severna Park, MD and graduated from Severna Park High School in 1981. Michael loved guitars and music and played guitar in several bands in Maryland and Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Doris Posner; two siblings, Paul Posner, Jr. and Jan Hylan; and a niece, Allison Hylan. Michael is survived by a brother, John Posner of Huntingtown, MD; a sister, Diane Filetto of Marathon, FL; five nephews, Paul Posner, III, David Posner, Leo Hyland, Jr., John Posner, Jr. and Joe Filetto; and a niece, Rebecca Posner. Friends are invited to Michael's Life Celebration from 5 to 8pm on Friday, August 8 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 10:30am. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org/maryland. An online guestbook is available at www.kalasfuneralhomes.com
