Paul Cain Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Paul F. Cain, III announces that he passed away on March 15, 2018 at the age of 42, after complications from a heart transplant, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. A lifelong resident of Maryland, Paul was born in Olney and raised in Colesville. He graduated from the University of Maryland and Paint Branch High School. Paul was extremely well regarded as an IT professional and government contractor. He was a devoted DC sports fan, especially of the Redskins, Nationals, Capitals, and the Maryland Terps. He loved living by the water in Stoney Creek and fishing with his family and friends. He and his wife enjoyed beach vacations, playing golf, and games of Rummy, Uno, and Sorry with their children. Paul and his family also enjoyed food together-especially Maryland favorites: steamed crabs and raw oysters. He is survived by his loving wife, Christina Cain; children Ayden, Brendan, and Megan Heptner; mother Joan Cain; sister Patricia (Trisha) Cain and her husband Douglas Pitkin; sister Theresa (Tracy) Argandona, her husband Andrew Argandona, and daughter Alexandra; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Paul F. Cain. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Paul's life which will be held at Kurtz's Beach in Pasadena, MD on Wednesday, March 28 from 4:00 to 8:00pm, with a service beginning at 4:30pm. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the ASPCA, your local animal shelter, or the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Paul would also remind all to please sign up to be an organ donor.
