Randall Williams Obituary

Randall Gray Williams, Sr. (Dale) passed away at his home in Severna Park, MD on June 8, 2021 of natural causes. He was 88 years old and a devoted Husband, Father, Pop Pop, Great Grand Father, and Friend. Dale was devoted to his family, friends, his business and, not lastly, a huge dog lover. Born on April 15, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland, Dale was the only son of Leroy and Mabel Williams. Upon graduating from Glen Burnie High School he joined his father in the family business Dovell & Williams, Inc. which Leroy opened in 1936. Dale grew the business and enjoyed his work until he sold the franchise and retired in 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents. He married Alice Bell Hicks in 1955. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Randall Gray Williams, Jr. (Julie Albright) of Edgewater, Maryland, and daughter Tracie Nicole Trainor (Jay) of Severn, MD. Four grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Williams, Tampa, Florida, Katherine Gray Herdener (Paul), Annapolis, Maryland, Alice Genevieve Flanders (Forrest), Annapolis, Maryland, John James Trainor III (fiancée Erica Ramos), Severn, Maryland and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Gray Herdener of Annapolis, Maryland. There will not be a funeral service at this time. We ask that you take a moment to remember Dale and cherish your family and friends.

I worked for Mr. Dale for 5 years. I looked up to him and he'd make me laugh with his sense of humor. He will be missed.
