Richard Pirozzi Obituary

PIROZZI, RICHARD On Sunday January 9, 2011, while visiting Kansas City to see his Chiefs play, Richard Charles Pirozzi was called home. He was born in Amityville, N.Y., on April 18, 1957 to the late Mary B. and Salvatore F. Pirozzi. He was predeceased by his two brothers William and James Pirozzi and his first wife of 12 years, Pamela Lilja Pirozzi. He resided most of his life in Maryland.

Rick was known as a loving husband and best friend to his current wife of 17 years, Linda Pirozzi. He was also known as a wonderful supportive father to his seven children, Emily Pirozzi, Sal Pirozzi, Ricky Pirozzi, Jennifer Roman, George Thompson, Arin Thompson and Joe Butler, a fun loving PePaw to his 15 grandchildren and a companion and playmate to his four legged fur child, Bentley. No person was a stranger to Rick and his larger than life personality and generous, loving spirt made him a special friend to all his family, extended family, friends and community.

Rick's love of sales led him through a successful career in the business industry. He was a mentor and motivator who inspired many in his field. An inspiration to his family, friends and coworkers, Rick never let the challenges of life get him down and thought determination always rose to the top.

Even though Rick loved his work, Family was his first love. Spending time and having fun with his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family was his top priority. He filled holidays, birthdays and weekend get togethers with his contagious, joy filled laugh and love of play.

Farewell Richard Charles Pirozzi, Rick, Dad, Pepaw, Friend. You were greatly loved, you will be greatly missed.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 13, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, Md., where services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2011. Interment will be at St. James' Parish Cemetery, Lothian, Md. www.RauschFuneralHomes.com

I could say enough about Rick to fill a novel however after knowing him and his family for so many years I will merely nod my head and celebrate. Knowing Rick I can assure all that he would not want mourning, nor tears... He was to full of life, to full of fun, and sharing to a fault. He would ask us to remember him as he was and to keep on getting up.There are a plenty more deals and adventures as well as good golf where he has gone. Maybe now he will be able to hit a 1 iron. I here only God can do that!!!
I wish now and hope that Linda and the kids can recover from their loss, as they knew and loved Him better than anyone. Peace be with you Rick and love and luck. See ya
Chris
