Robert Warfield Obituary

Robert William Warfield, beloved father, grandfather, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, at the age of 82, after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob is survived by his loving daughters, Melanie Levy (Ken) and Liz Forgione (Josh), their mother and former spouse, Gina Johnson, and his six adoring grandchildren: Max, Ben, and Alex Levy, and Nick, Bella, and Ryan Forgione. He is also remembered by the many good friends he amassed along the path of his life who he considered family. Born on August 28, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, Bob was the only son of Martha Pearl Sachs and Robert Trevelyn Warfield. After graduating from Parkville High School in 1959, Bob served in the Navy Reserves before working his way through college and law school at night.  Bob graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1967 and earned his legal degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1971. Bob's love of learning and determination were hallmarks of his character. He was passionate about the law and dedicated his life to his work and the clients he served, establishing a thriving legal practice in Severna Park in 1973, where he spent most of his life, and working until his diagnosis in 2013. Known throughout the legal community as a highly ethical and intelligent attorney, Bob was well respected by his peers and served as a mentor to many young attorneys navigating their careers. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob's passion for life extended to his hobbies. He approached everything he did with the same tenacity. Bob explored the world with good friends and family, on and off his bicycle, always seeking the path less traveled. He was active with the Annapolis Bicycle Club, completing many 100-mile rides. He was an avid sailor, enjoying Wednesday night races with the Annapolis Yacht Club.  He was self-taught in watercolor painting, and he never ceased in trying to perfect his golf game. Bob will be remembered for his intellectual curiosity, his love of the law, his unwavering commitment to his family and friends and his kind, generous and witty spirit. His legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. A service to honor and remember Bob's life will be held at the Sherwood Forest Clubhouse, 134 Sherwood Forest Road, Annapolis, MD on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Michael J.
