Susan Davis Obituary

DAVIS, SUSAN MARIE PAULSON, 61, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on July 22, 2014 in Towson, Maryland. Susan was born to her parents, Lawrence and Vera Paulson on September 2, 1952 in Fargo, North Dakota. She attended Central Cass High School, graduating in 1970. She received a degree from the University of North Dakota in 1974. Susan moved to Baltimore and began working as a medical technician in the blood bank at Johns Hopkins. Later she worked for Baxter and then Medstar hospital systems. She was a member of the Roland Park Presbyterian Church. Susan volunteered her time and energy with countless organizations and events. Whether she was leading the charge or lending a helping hand, her organizational skills, friendliness and energy were always in demand. Above all of these things she was a dedicated and devoted mother, not just to her children but to so many people with whom she was always willing to share her love, wisdom, opinions and sense of humor. Susan loved to read, travel, make new friends, dance, laugh and lie down. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter and son, Meredith and Erik Davis of Gibson Island; her best ex and best friend, Randy F. Davis of Gibson Island; her love and partner, Lewis Wills, of Levels, West Virginia and his children, Robert Wills, Rebecca Gooche and Nicole Wills of Baltimore, Maryland; her sister and brother in law, Sally and Dale Nelson of Oronoco, Minnesota; her nieces, Chelsey Nelson of MN and Rachel Nelson of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Susan was the definition of generous with her heart, her time and the many gifts she bestowed on all of her loved ones. If you were her friend then you were lucky enough to know what it was to be loved by her. A memorial service will be held on August 3rd, at 3:00 pm at the Gibson Island Club, Gibson Island, Maryland. In lieu of gifts to the family, please make a donation to the Arthritis Foundation to promote research toward helping people living with rheumatoid and arthritis related disease. https://www.kintera.org/site/apps/ka/sd/donorcustom.asp?c=pkI2KfMUItF&b=8324237 Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com

Such a shock! We shared so many good times and made lots of memories. Susan was not only a former Co worker, but also a great friend. I will miss her dearly. She had a good heart and always had a smile on her face even early in the morning. It was a pleasure to know her and will remember her always with only wonderful thoughts. My heart goes out to her family. Love you, Susan.
