Walter Byrnes Obituary

Walter "Spud" Byrnes of Annapolis, Maryland passed away on February 27, 2023. He was a donor to the Anatomy Board in Baltimore, MD. Walt graduated from Severna Park High School in 1971 and continued on to graduate from Thiel College in 1975, with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was an avid "car guy" so not too hard to believe he was the "Best Auto Parts Guy in the Business". Walt's career began with AA Foreign Car Parts in Glen Burnie and continued to Sheehy Nissan in Annapolis when he retired. Walt's interests included boating, golf, family crab feasts and shooting pool. While residing at Heritage Harbor Rehab Center, he cared for the fish tank, called bingo and delivered the daily menu. Survived by his brother, John T. Byrnes (Kathy) of Milton, DE; sister, Barb Traynham (Todd) of York, PA; daughter, April Smolenskiy (Vadim) and granddaughter, Natalie of Baltimore, MD. A private burial will occur at a later date.

I had the pleasure of working along side Walt for many years. He quickly became my mentor, friend, and a second Father to me. I´m beyond grateful for the time he spent with me and for all he taught me. He will be missed by many.

Walt was "Superman" when it came to parts. He loved going for drives on the weekend and was loved by everyone that worked with him. He will greatly be missed! RIP buddy
