Don Gaarder Obituary
September 13, 2025
Rev. Don Gaarder passed away Sept. 13, 2025 at Good Samaritan Luther Manor in Sioux Falls, with additional care provided by Sanford Hospice. He was 91 years old.
Visitation with family present will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls on Monday, Sept. 22 from 1:30 to 3 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 3 p.m. Distribution of ashes will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery for the family that morning. He was so helpful as a member of the Oahe, Inc. and Arc Oahe board of directors. He and Alta were greatly missed when they moved to Sioux Falls. May God give you strength and comfort.
