DeLores Linderman

1944 - 2026

DeLores was the daughter of Verna Adams and Chancey Adams. She was raised in South Dakota and graduated from Blunt High School, where she built the foundation for a life defined by hard work, responsibility, and care for others. She began working at a young age, a reflection of the strong work ethic that stayed with her throughout her life.
Family was always at the center of DeLores's world. She devoted herself fully to caring for those she loved, often placing their needs before her own. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Leslie Linderman of Royse City, Texas, and Lynne Penn and son in-law Stephen of Fate, Texas. In her later years, her greatest joy and most cherished role was being "Gma" to her only grandson, Ian Penn. Their bond was a source of pride, laughter, and deep love, and it brought her immense happiness.
DeLores is survived by her sisters, Diana Tople of Mobile City, Texas, and Dora Goddard of Reno, Nevada, several beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deanna Blackwelder, who passed away in 2015.
She had a tender heart for animals and found comfort and companionship in caring for them. She was tough, loyal, and resilient, showing love through hard work and steadfast devotion. Her strength and dedication live on through the family she built.
A graveside service will be held on July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Scotty Philip Cemetery, Ft. Pierre, SD.
