FREDDIE MAE MASSENGALE Freddie Mae Massengale of Alpena, Arkansas was born in Batavia, Arkansas on May 12, 1933, to Fred and Fairy (Magness) Smothers. Freddie passed away November 15, 2022, in Harrison at the age of 89. She was a member of the Green Forest United Baptist Church for many years. Freddie enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family it was like Thanksgiving every Sunday. She also liked sewing, doing ceramic's, working, riding 4-Wheelers but most of all her love of her family. Freddie is survived by her children Joyce Scitern and husband Jerry, James Massengale; grandchildren Melena Davis and husband James, Mitchell Scitern and wife Amanda, Chris Massengale and wife Miranda; six great grandchildren; soon to be four great great grandchildren; sister Joy Molder and husband Sam; sisters-in-law Faye Smothers, Linda Smothers; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Fairy Smothers; husband Fred Massengale; brothers Sonny Smothers, Kenny Smothers; infant sister Bobbie Smothers; infant great great granddaughter Tessa May Cross; brother-in-law Roy L "Pence" Smith. Visitation will be 9:00 am till 10:00 am, Friday, November 18, 2022, at Nelson's Green Forest Chapel in Green Forest. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, November 18, 2022, at Nelson's Green Forest Chapel with Bro. Jerry Scitern and Bro. Mitchell Scitern officiating.
