Annie Knight Obituary

Annie Oree (Easterday) Knight, 76, of Finksburg, MD, formerly of Reisterstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 9th, 2025 at the Dove House in Westminster Born November 2, 1948, Annie was the daughter of the late Virginia Moats Easterday and Gardener Easterday. She was married to Charles Knight, her loving husband of 57 years. Annie loved the outdoors and was enjoying her flowerbeds right up to the time the Lord called her home suddenly. Anyone that met her could only appreciate, love, adore and admire her for her kindness, love of family and friends and warm personality. She loved cooking, baking, canning and gifting treats to others. If you ever left her table hungry it was your own fault. She especially enjoyed spending time working in her flower gardens outside, when the weather was nice everything indoors had to wait. The love she shared for her husband was obvious as they worked side by side in their tree business for over 40 years. Everyone commented on what a hardworking woman she was, and the bond they shared. She was admired by everyone she met and who knew her. She and her husband were always together and hardly ever had a spat, being an inspiration to others, living in Finksburg most of those years in the home they built with their own hands and raising their two children - Kenneth W. Knight who passed in 1988 at age 19 and their daughter Cathy (Knight) Stewart She is survived by her husband Charles Knight, daughter Cathy and her husband Chris Stewart of Hanover, PA and two grandchildren whom she adored: Jessica Clinton of Glenville, PA, and Brandon Gist of Spring Grove as well as two great grandchildren. She is predeceased by 7 older siblings and two sisters-in-law, whom she thought of as sisters -Lois Szymanski and husband Dan of Westminster and Suann Spalding of Reisterstown and several other in laws and many other family members too many to mention. Annie and her husband, Charles made a lot of friends along their journey, many being during their frequent visits for coffee to the Royal Farms in Gamber, MD for over 20 years where all who knew them adored them. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her name to their church Trinity Lutheran Church in Smallwood, 833 Deer Park Rd. Westminster, MD 21157 A service will not be held but the family will honor her in a celebration of her life ceremony in the spring where her life can be remembered outdoors where she loved to be. Please reach out to the family to be included in a future celebration of this nothing short of amazing and beautiful woman's life.

So many memories come swarming up in my mind and heart she was more like a cousin to me growing up cause we were so close in age. She always watched over me most of my life. I can still hear her laugh and will never forget it. She always took care of anyone that needed anything. She loved her kids and husband with passion. Now she is with the rest of the family and will forever be waiting for the rest of us. I´ll miss you always Annie. Love you. We will all be together again one day in Gods timing.
