Betty Annabelle Glass

Betty Annabelle (Six) Glass, 95, of Taneytown, MD, and most recently of Littlestown, PA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2025. The daughter of the late Charles William and Rosa Mae (Weant) Six, Betty was born in Harney, MD on 12/30/1929, the oldest of three girls. She was the wife of the late Charles Curtis Glass, who passed on 4/29/1991, and with whom she had nine children: Richard (Betty Faye) Glass of Amherst, VA; Marvin (Rose) Glass of Taneytown, MD; Michael (Nancy) Glass of Taneytown, MD; Kevin (Sue) Glass of Winnabow, NC; Scott (Kathie) Glass of Windermere, FL; Rhonda (Keith) Gorsuch of Taneytown, MD; Joyce (Jeff) Weatherly of Littlestown, PA; Karla (Erich) Pfleeger of New Bern, NC; and Trudy (Barry) Johnston of Pocatello, ID. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary (Six) Wivell. Surviving in addition to her children is her sister, Cora Mae (Charles) Cool, of Emmitsburg, MD, 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dear caregiver, Mandi Weikert, the staff at Weikert's Home Care, and the friends she made during her stay. Betty enjoyed birdwatching, sewing, gardening, taking care of others, and socializing. She attended Piney Creek Church of the Brethren and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 120 in Taneytown. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Taneytown Fireman's Activities Building, 49 Memorial Drive, Taneytown, MD The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Betty's extended family - Mandi and Josh Weikert and the caring aides at Weikert Home Care in Littlestown, PA.
