Cordelle Dunbar Obituary



Cordelle E. "Cordy" Dunbar, 71, of Sykesville, passed away Thursday October 6, 2016 at Transitions Nursing Facility in Sykesville. Born October 30, 1944 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Cordell and Mary Dunbar. Once widowed, he was the husband of the late Nancy Horst Dunbar. He enjoyed car shows, watching drag racing and spending time with his family. Surviving are sons and daughter-in-laws, Jeremy and April (Parkent) Dunbar of Hanover, PA and Jason and Danielle (DeSimone) Dunbar of Mt. Airy, MD. Granddaughters include Jessica, Madison and Brynn Dunbar. Cordy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Cornelia Jones. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to The American Cancer Society. Condolences may be made by card at 2527 Vance Drive, Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
