David Hopkins Obituary

David Brian Hopkins, 70, of Hampstead, MD, died September 5, 2025 at BridgingLife Hospice in Westminster, MD after a 40 year valiant struggle against Multiple Sclerosis. He was the son of Polly (Melvin) Hopkins and the late Francis L. Hopkins, Jr. Surviving in addition to his mother and stepmother, Christine Hopkins, are sisters: Bridget Hopkins Fisher (Charles); Dana Graham (Dennis); Janis Gurecki; Polly Hopkins (Alex Mitchell); Erin Hopkins (David Raymond); Kara Hopkins and many beloved nieces and nephews. David was a truck driver and a master electrician. Despite the effects of the MS, he generously supported his family in many ways. He enjoyed bluegrass, clogging, fishing, animals, and old time TV like "Gunsmoke and "Jack Hanna." Politics and weather were some of his special interests. The family will accept guests for a visitation on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, MD 21074. A celebration of life will begin at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
