Deborah "Debbie" Schaffer

Deborah "Debbie" Lee Schaffer, 70, of Hanover, PA passed away on May 8, 2025 at Hershey Medical Center. Born on August 11, 1954 in Baltimore, Debbie was the daughter of the late Melvin and Dolores (Icenroad) Kramer, and the wife of the late Jeffrey "Jeff" Schaffer. She was also preceded in death by sibling, Raymond Kramer and Linda Ford. Debbie devoted nearly 40 years of her life to public service as a dedicated employee of the Social Security Administration. Following her retirement, she continued her lifelong commitment to helping others through volunteer work with Heavenly Paws Cat Rescue. As a foster and advocate, she opened her heart and home to countless cats, giving them the care, love, and second chances they deserved. In her spare time, Debbie found joy in crocheting and baking. Debbie is survived by her two children, Shannon Ebron and husband, Robert, and Chris Schaffer; grandchildren, Bradley, Robbie, Taylor, and Mason; great-granddaughters, Aielana and Gabriella; and sister, Brenda Markle. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, 2510 Grandview Rd, Hanover, PA 17331.
