Donald Weller Obituary

Donald Ray Weller, age 78, of Union Bridge, died Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Autumn Lake at Glade Valley, Walkersville, following a brief illness. Born July 31, 1946 in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Kemp Weller and Mary Nash Weller. He was the husband of Geraldine "Jerry" R. Weller, his wife of 51 years. Donald was a truck driver employed with the Frederick County Roads Dept., then for a period of time with Jimmy King and later had his own business, Weller Trucking. He also assisted with custom farming for Dwight Repp and Gordon Flickinger. He enjoyed visiting Charles Town, traveling and watching his son and grandson play baseball. In earlier years he coached his son's New Midway Little League team. In addition to his wife he is survived by son, Tod Wachter and wife Lisa of Walkersville; grandson Eric Wachter and fiancée Courtney of Baltimore; sisters, Susan Smith and husband Dale of Linwood, Doris King of Frederick and Martha Serig and husband Bud of Hagerstown; brother, Richard Weller of Frederick; sister-in-law, Janis Weller of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ed Weller and brother-in-law, James King. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Inurnment will take place in Haugh's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
