Elizabeth Hammond Obituary
Elizabeth Caltrider Hammond, 88, of Upperco, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born on March 17, 1925, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George Byerly and Annie VeNina Eline Caltrider. She was married to the late Southgate Yellott Hammond.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Reisterstown United Methodist Church, the Franklin Garden Club and the Maryland Orchid Society.
Surviving are children Elizabeth Lynn and husband Gary Owings, of Upperco; Carol Lee and husband Steve Carchedi, of Silver Spring; Jay Yellott and wife Susan Hammond, of Denver; Barbara Ellen and Don Caple, of Westminster; and Nancy Gail and husband Brian Rezac, of Longmont, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.
A service will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday at the Reisterstown United Methodist Church, 246 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown. Interment will be held in All Saints' Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Reisterstown United Methodist Church Memorial Funds, 246 Main St., Reisterstown, MD 21136 or Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
