Elizabeth Keefer Obituary

Elizabeth A. Keefer (Shifflett), of Westminster, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025. She was born May 30, 1943, in Upperco, Maryland, the daughter of the late Virginia Wood Shifflett Smith and George M. Shifflett, Sr. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of her very best friend and school sweetheart, the late Robert (Bob) G. Keefer of Westminster, Maryland. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Mark Knight, Sr. of Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a wonderful Memaw to four cherished grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Ashley Edwards, Alex Knight, and Tony Knight, all of Florida; and four great-grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Jackson, Ethan, and Elizabeth Taylor. Elizabeth is also survived by two sisters, Betty Graybill of Taneytown, Maryland, and Diana Main of New Bern, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brothers Louis Shifflett and George M. Shifflett Jr., as well as her sister Mary L. Arendt. Elizabeth will be remembered for her devotion to family, her loyalty as a friend, and her enduring faith. She was known for her kind and generous heart and her love to help others. In accordance with her wishes, a private family service will be held. The family deeply appreciates the love, prayers, and support of friends during this time. Arrangements by Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services in Westminster.
