Gene was so sweet, funny, and helpful. Although there were numerous times he and his dad helped me with "man-work," I will never forget him drilling a storage container in my horse trailer in front of his house..with horse in tow! Good looking, smart..I will miss him.

I only knew Gene for a few years, but in that short period of time he became a true friend. Always willing to lend a helping hand or word of comfort when needed.
We had a lot of fun discussions about the ways of the world and how we had come to the places we now were in that world.
Gene loved his work (even while complaining)he took great pride in doing a great job.
I did not know his mother well, but know from first hand experience that he loved his mom and dad both very much. I am well acquainted with his father and Gene always displayed his deepest respect and admiration for him, Roland was truly Gene's best friend and I believe that was felt both ways.
I am so very, very sorry for your loss Roland and Kathy. I will have a place in my heart for Gene always.
