Jane GAVRYLUK Obituary

Jane Gavryluk, born in Kharkiv, Ukraine and longtime Sparks, MD resident, died unexpectedly on September 13, 2025 at the age of 88. She was the spirit of life in every room she entered and every place she called home. Loving, devoted and gentle soul of a husband, Oleg, went before her in 2011 to build their forever cottage in heaven. Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Kotelevits. Big sister, protector and best friend, Sonia Dobrodey of Salisbury; compassionate and warmhearted daughter, Julie Rearick and her husband Bob of Lutherville; and impassioned and zealous daughter Janene Edgar and her husband Craig of Westminster and Lonaconing survive her. Also survived by godson, Nick Dobrodey of Salisbury; brother-in-law, Igor Gavryluk and his wife Ruth of Ocean City, MD; four nephews and their families, and more friends, neighbors and acquaintances than can be counted. The family would like to thank Jane's companions, Tara Rowe of Parkton and Kiersten Bostjancic of Piedmont, WV. They are both special, unique, caring, and provided exactly what was needed at the exact right time. A Memorial Service is being planned for a future date. Inurnment will be private. Donations in Jane's memory may be made to any animal protection group of your choice, reflecting her love of all four-legged friends.
