John Sabo Obituary

John Michael Sabo, 75, of Finksburg, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.
Born March 23, 1935, in Sabraton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Alexander Joseph and Pricilla Monar Sabo. He was the husband of Dora Jean Sabo, his wife of 55 years.
He was a veteran, serving with the Marine Corps from December 1953 to December 1956. He was the sales manager with Air France Airlines in Washington, D.C., and later was the sound technician with the Lyric Opera House.
He was a member of Glyndon United Methodist Church, Piney Branch Golf Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 467 in Westminster. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and David Lowry, of Westminster, and Sally and Douglas Lang, of Pittsburgh; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Michelle Sabo, of Westminster; a sister, Julia Bonfili, of Morgantown, W.Va.; brother and sister-in-law Dr. Alexander J. and Dr. Sandra Sabo, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandchildren Kate and Connor Lowry, Emma, Hannah and John Lang and Alexander, Justin and Jack Sabo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Pustia; and a brother-in-law, William Bonfili.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Glyndon United Methodist Church, 4713 Butler Road, Glyndon, with his pastor, the Rev. Norman Obenshian, officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Glyndon United Methodist Church, 4713 Butler Road, Glyndon, MD 21071; or to Carroll Hospice's Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.

My sincere condolences to the family. John was a great man who absolutly loved his family, to be admired. John was a giving person, to those around Him, extremely honorable, we will all miss him.
