John Sloman Obituary



John David Sloman, Sr., 59, of Manchester, MD passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born October 4, 1957 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William John Sloman, Jr. and the late Betty Lou Todd Sloman. He was a dumptruck driver. Years ago, he enjoyed drag racing, riding his Harley Davidson and restoring classic GTO's. John is survived by his son John Sloman Jr. from Manchester, MD, brother Richard Sloman and wife Jane of Hanover, PA, and sister Barbara Litz and her companion Carl House of Westminster, MD. Also survived by nieces and nephews: Travis, Kristen, Scott, Katelyn and Jackie. The family will receive friends at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102 on Monday, September 11 from 3:00 -5:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Parkville, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. John was a close friend with a contagious laugh. Even if you had no idea what he was laughing at you laughed with him. He had many friends and was truly loved. He will be missed.
