JohnThomas David Stultz, 73, of New Windsor, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center, following a year-long battle with cancer. Born on May 2, 1952, in Westminster, he was the son of the late Murwin M. Stultz Sr. and Catherine Virginia (Kirby) Stultz. John was a 1970 graduate of South Carroll High School. After graduation, he worked alongside his father at Stultz's Burner Service, eventually taking over the business, which he operated until just last year. He will be remembered for his deep love of animals-always ready to provide a home for any stray that came his way. John cherished the summer months, the quiet of living independently, and the simple joy of sitting on his porch and being outdoors. He is survived by his loving sisters: Darlene Pugh and husband William, Brenda Stultz, Jennie Fugitt and husband George, and Melody Walker and husband Glenn. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church Street, New Windsor, with his nephew Marvin Stultz officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to the Kahlert Regional Cancer Center, 291 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
