Kathleen Nusbaum Obituary
Kathleen Walters Deavers Nusbaum, 87, of Westminster, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Golden Living Center.
Born Dec. 19, 1925, in Marshall, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Walters and Bertha Deavers Walters Acra, and stepdaughter of the late Melvin Acra. She was the wife of Robert A. Nusbaum, who died in 2005.
Before retiring, she was the manager of Westminster Rescue Mission in Sykesville. She enjoyed bingo, playing the slots at Charles Town and was a member of the AARP.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law William Lee and Marge Deavers, and JoAnn Deavers, all of Westminster, and Ronald Wayne and Linda Deavers, of Sykesville; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sons Charles William Deavers Jr. and Jack Franklin Deavers; and a brother, Frank Acra.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Ann Schlossnagle officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park.
