Lula Thomas Obituary
Lula Grace Thomas, 91, of Westminster, died June 16, 2015 at her home. Born April 29, 1924 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Amelia Mormann McDermot. She was the wife of the late Melvin Thomas who died December 20, 1998. Lula was an avid watercolor painter who sold many of her paintings at shows. Lula graduated from Forest Park High School in 1942 and married her husband soon after. She was a member of the Carroll County Art Guild, the Hanover Area Art Guild and the Carroll County Arts Council. She was of the Catholic Faith. Surviving is daughter Mary Jo Thomas of Westminster; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Ida Davis, Dorothy McDermot and Patricia King. Graveside services will take place on Friday at 11 am at Meadow Branch Cemetery. Officiating will be Deacon Paul Cooke of St. John Catholic Church. Arrangements by Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Online condolences may be sent to www.prittsfuneralhome.com
