Marianne Gillis Obituary



Marianne Gillis, 58, of Eldersburg, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at home.

Born Jan. 23, 1955, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Luber Brown. She was the wife of Charles D. Gillis III.

She had retired from Giant Foods where she had worked as a pharmacy technician. She enjoyed gardening.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons and daughters-in-law David B. and Tanya Gillis, of Baltimore, and Jamie and Misti Gillis, of Edgemere; sisters Patty Odel, of Baltimore, and Joann Rowan, of Owings Mills; and grandchildren Quinn, Cole and Gage Gillis, and Destiny Diven.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of memorial service, 1 p.m. Friday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be private.

marianne. She was always such a free spirit, kind, happy and very pleasant to be around. She will be very missed and in our hearts always. May god bless
her family at this difficult time.
