Mary O'Meara

Mary Theresa Hartman O'Meara passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Towson. She was born in Baltimore, MD. She was the wife of the late James Edward O'Meara, Jr. for 70 years. She was the daughter of George Ransom and Mary Alice (nee Duff) Hartman. She was the mother of Kathleen O. Farley of Baltimore, Daniel J. O'Meara of Glyndon, James P. O'Meara of Finksburg, Michael E. O'Meara of Westminster, Theresa A. Prevosto of Hampstead, Susan O. Wroe of Glyndon, Kevin J. O'Meara of Glyndon and Bridget O. Witt of Westminster. Predeceased by seven brothers & sisters. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary graduated from Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville in 1940. She was a secretary for builder and developer James Rouse. Mary created and was librarian for Sacred Heart Church School library for many years. She enjoyed quilting, bridge, music and her family. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glyndon. Interment Druid Ridge Cemetery.
