Mary Helen Shepherd

Mary Helen Shepherd, 92, of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 26, 2025. Born on November 8,1932 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Cora May Tucker- Bentz. She was the beloved wife of 66 years to the late Jack M. Shepherd Sr., who passed away in 2016. Mary was a dedicated homemaker. Surviving her are children: Jacqueline May Shepherd, Jack Maynard Shepherd Jr., Jeffrey Mark Shepherd, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her children: Judith Marie Fann, James Martin Shepherd and 13 siblings. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 1, from 11 am – 1 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to plant a tree or order flowers.
