Michael Curtis Obituary

Michael Richard Curtis, 74, passed away on November 22, 2024, in Westminster, MD. Born on January 14, 1950, Michael was a lifelong resident of Maryland known for his kind, introspective, and reclusive nature. Michael attended Arlington Elemetary School, Pimlico Junior High and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He furthered his education with studies at Baltimore Community College. Professionally, Michael was skilled in construction, specializing in plaster, drywall, and roofing, and also worked as a machinist. He was passionate about his hobbies, which included cheering for the Ravens and the Orioles, following horseracing, studying philosophy and Spanish, and enjoying blues music. Michael is survived by his mother, Pauline B. Curtis; siblings Jody Braun, Daniel R. Curtis, Ruth C. Lee, and Marie L. Young; daughters Lynn Langrill and her husband, Eric, Heather Redifer and her husband, Bart; and grandchildren Kyle and Kristin Langrill, and Leah and Ian Redifer. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren C. Curtis. Michael's life was marked by a quiet dedication to God, his family and his sobriety, leaving behind a legacy of thoughtful solitude and a deep appreciation for the details of life. His memory will be cherished by those who knew him as a gentle, reflective soul who found comfort in the simple pleasures of life.
