Mike,
I remember the night I met you. You walked into the Village Inn and I thought, wow what a handsome guy. From that night on we became great friends. We shared so many things, we always talked about everything. I especially enjoyed your "enthusiam" for life, singing, fishing etc. We laughed and cried and shared the same wierd sense of humor. Most people thought we were crazy, but we had a love nobody really understood. I miss you and I will always be your "Jersey Girl". I hope you and Christopher are hanging out up there. Try not to create to much havoc, after all it is Heaven. I'm glad you are not suffering anymore, that was hard for all of us. RIP I love you.

Dear Cathy,
I know the sadness and heartache you have endurred during Mike's illness. Can you just imagine the Party he's having now! Ken, Grandpop, Grandmom, Dad, Uncle Al, Aunt Theresa, Little Al, Poky, Jim Finn etc. I can close my eyes and hear the music and Laughter resonating from Heaven.

Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear about Mike passing. He was so blessed to have you as his mother and friend. You were always there for Mike when he needed you and loved him with all your heart. Life seems so unfair at times. You will always have him in your heart and he is in a peaceful place with no pain. He has a window with a view to watch over his family and friends. I love you and will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Mike,
I feel truly blessed to have had you in my life. I watched you grow from a boy to a man and loving father. In good and bad times. You were the closest thing I ever had to having my own child. You were my kid ,TOO! Although we will all miss you, you are no longer in pain and suffering. Rest in peace. I love you, Aunt Woofer

I remember the day you came home from the hospital and you stayed at our house for the first month. I gave you your first bath, and biting your nails for the first was my job. I know you had some struggles, but you are finally at peace. Rest my dear nephew

Cathy,
I’m so sorry that Mike, another loved one has been taken by such a horrible disease, but he feels no more pain now, and I hope these words bring you some comfort. Let’s continue to honor Mike and remember the good things, his devotion to you, his devotion to family, his love of sports, his fun for life, his determination, his perseverance, AND, if we also persevere, Jesus has promised that one day we will be re-united with our loved ones who have gone before. Love, from your soul buddy, Tom

Mike,
I haven't seen you since the 7th grade but your name has come up in many conversations through the years. I'll always remember you as the ""7th grade boyfriend" whom I took Chris Rill out behind the school to fight for you. Seems funny to think of things kids will do. That seemed so important then. My prayers go out to the families loss. God Bless,

Cathy,
May the Lord comfort you during this time of sadness and loss. Let me know if I can help in any way.
Love to you,

January 27, 2010

Mike - Though we only knew you for a few years, they were "fun and music" years. We met you at "The Village" when Sara owned it and we also met a lot of "great and wonderful" people there, you and all of them took us into your "family of friends" and we are forever grateful. We all had great times doing "karaoke" both at the different places we did and at our home. Many of the songs you did will be hard to listen to at first, but your memory will live on not only in those songs, but in our hearts. Thank you for being a "friend". We will miss you. You are now in the "arms of the angels" and at peace. We will see you again someday and we'll "sing" with the angels together.

Love and Miss You

Mike,
You were part of my life for 37 years, you were like a son, a friend, and my best friend's son. We've been through some good and bad times and I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that you are no longer here, I MISS YOU! and there is an empty spot deep inside me. I am comforted knowing that you are no longer suffering with that horrible decease and all the pain. Enjoy your peace and comfort, fishing with your dad, and reuniting with all the other loved ones and friends. We will meet again one day and have one huge reunion. You will always remain in my heart forever. Love you, miss you,

RIP Mike. I will never forget you Mike Ruby. You were always a bright spot whenever we needed on. I will remember all the great times we had from you and scott just hangin' out at the house to the time you needed a place to crash for a little while to the wonderful times we had at the places scott dj'd. You were a great friend and we loved you dearly. You were like a son at times and most always a best friend. May you find peace and tranquility. You will be missed by many, many people. Over the years we were separated by time and miles but the mere memories will ALWAYS bring smiles and warm thoughts to our hearts. Cathy, Mike and Ken are in heaven smiling down on you every minute of every day. It will be wonderful to all be reunited some day. We love you Mike.

Mike, You were my special friend. Our song was "Whiskey Lullaby". I will never be able to sing it again at karaoke without you. I loved you like a brother. I am comforted to know that you knew Jesus as your Savior. I will see you again! I am thankful for being able to spend some time just being with you. I will cherish those moments. Thank you for making a difference in my life. I love you!

Mike and I met back when I joined Arcadia VFD in 1996. From that day on for several years, Mike, Scott Timberman, and I were like the 3 musketeers. Whether it was going on fire calls together, DJing with Scott, or just hanging out, Mike and I shared alot of good times and were as close as brothers. I'll never forget how Mike refered to me as his "Donk". "Donk" was the big bodygaurd of "Mick Dundee" in the Crocodile Dundee movies. No one messed with Mike as long as his "Donk" was around. I'll always remember Mike and all the fun times that we shared together. I'm going to miss him greatly, but I will see him again in heaven. Always your friend and brother, Matt Lippy

MY SON ~ MY FRIEND

Most people know "our story" and that you gave me the greatest gift of all ~ 4 years of finally having that special Son I knew you could be. We shared the best and worst of times. I don't know how I'll ever sit on the front porch without you ~ especially when a storm is brewing. I'll be with you and Dad soon!

I will always remember the times that Mike and I had together, even when we were teenagers working for the Lippy Brothers bailing straw in the summer, then at lunch we would go swimming in a near by creek to cool off. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts and heart go out to you Cathy and his little girl Mikayla. I didn't know you were sick until it was to late. I will always miss you Mike, you were my buddy, friend and brother. I'll see you on the other side brother and may you have peace forever.
