Dr.Keener,

I grew up in your house and in your dentist chair. What great memories of Washington Road. Mitty the chessie, the trip to Vermont, you driving me home with your knee while lighting your pipe, The Riding Club. Matthew and I got into some trouble, but you were always light in the punishment we received. You and your family are a permanent part of ours. Our thoughts are with you and yours.

Dr. Keener has been my dentist for 45 years. I was shocked to hear of his passing, mainly because he was the picture of health. I always said to him; "you never age", he would shrug his shoulders and smile. I would tell him, well just keep doing what your doing, it's working! I was always afraid to go to the dentist, but Dr. Keener helped me become unafraid :) He was patient and always checked in with me to be sure I was not feeling any pain. I doubt if I will find another dentist as kind and compassonate as Dr. Keener. To his wife and family, please accept my deepest condolences and know that I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by many, he was a kind, kind man. ~ Paula (Kirchner) Kleiman

I too had been a patient of Dr. Keener for 40 years. Not only did he take such great care of my teeth, he taught me so many life lessons. His stories of his boys aided in the raising of my boys. He gave so much of himself to others. I thank his family for sharing such a special man. Our prayers are with you.

I've known Paul when as a young dentist I went to our local dental meeting at Cockey's Tavern. We only had 8 or 9 dentists but that was the beginning of seeing him as a frequent attender of our meetings. He was a continual student improving and learning the latest and newest information about his profession. He was a good guy and we will miss him!

I've been Dr. Keener's patient since I was 13. He was an important person in my life and my heart is aching. He will be missed beyond words. I truly enjoyed each time I saw him and the stories he would tell me about his life...quite the gentleman. My regards to his family, friends & patients.
