Peggy Ann Pitrone

Peggy Ann Pitrone, 93, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at her home. Born on March 4, 1931, in Rockville MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Ray. She was the beloved wife of 73 years to Julius J. Pitrone. She attended Richard Montgomery High School where she played on the basketball team. She was a resident of Westminster for more than 50 years. She worked at the Carroll County Public Library and later volunteered at Carroll County General Hospital until 2020. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Snydersburg, MD. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends on their farm. Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Perry, Paul, Patrick, and Pamela; her brother John; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family is planning a private service. Donations in Peggy's name may be made to St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Snydersburg MD. Arrangements are by the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., Manchester, MD.
