Robert "Bob" Reppe

Robert "Bob" James Reppe, age 77, of New Windsor, died Thursday, October 20, 2022 at his home after an extended battle with dementia. Born June 5, 1945 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Thomas Joseph Reppe and Irene Potoski Reppe. He was the husband of Nancy Jane Reppe, his wife of 49 years. Bob was employed for 44 years as a broadcasting engineer supervisor with WBAL Radio and WIYY 98 Rock of Baltimore, retiring in 2009. He volunteered with various activities for the auxiliary of the New Windsor Volunteer Fire Co.; was an enthusiastic fisherman, especially enjoying annual fishing trips with his co-workers and later with his son Dan, enjoyed boating, fishing and swimming at Smith Mountain Lake in Goodview, VA, spending his winters in Florida, and taking care of his properties and vehicles. He built their home in 1974 where he and Nancy have resided for 46 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by children, Robert J. Reppe Jr. of Westminster, Sandra L. Datesman and husband Jason of Mt. Wolf, PA and Daniel J. Reppe and wife Kristi of Westminster; 8 grandchildren, Kameron Reppe and wife Jennifer, Sierra, Baylie and Shelby Reppe, Lexi and Isabella Datesman, and Brody and Caleb Reppe. A ninth grandchild (grandson) is due in the spring of 2023. He will also be lovingly remembered by countless close friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Tim Reppe. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with Rev. Dr. Malcolm Stranathan, pastor of Westminster United Methodist Church, officiating.
