Robin Taylor Obituary

Robin Lee Koenig Taylor, 78, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at The Terraces of Westminster. Born October 5, 1947 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late Frederick Koenig and the late Catherine (Gilbert) Cross. She spent her younger years growing up in the family business, Koenig Bakery, in Catonsville. Robin was a bright student. She graduated from Western High School in Baltimore at the age of 16 as a member of the Class of 1963. She went on to further her education at Parsons College in Iowa, where she earned her Undergraduate degree in microbiology, and later received her Master's degree from Boise State University in Idaho in 1993. Robin translated her college education into a career in laboratory services, first as a researcher and later a Phelobotomist. She spent most of her career at Quest Diagnostics where she set up their Phelobotomy School and educated and trained lab technicians, IT professionals, and Billing Representatives in the Baltimore area. Following her time at Quest, Robin became a lead customer trainer and software implementer for Master Control. She retired in 2015. A lifelong learner, Robin had many interests-both intellectual and spiritual. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church of Westminster, where she sang in the church choir and performed in their traveling productions of the Witness and the Promise; earning a cameo with her choir mates in the movie "Runaway Bride". Always impeccably put together, Robin enjoyed accessorizing, she embodied the Tom Ford quote that "Dressing well is a form of good manners." Always present with a smile and a kind word, she put everyone at ease. She carried on her mother's love of art and music, passions that remained an important part of her life, instilling this in her children and grandchildren. Surviving her is son, Jeffrey Taylor; daughter and son-in-law Stacey and Jason Smith; grandchildren Mitchell, Alex, and Jillian; former husband and friend Allan Keith Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family was her greatest joy. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved sister Lois Treuchel. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2025 from 6 to 8pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
