Roger L. Buffington Jr.

Roger L. Buffington, Jr., 60, of Debary, FL, formerly of Union Bridge, MD, went to heaven on Thursday, July 31st 2014 at Florida Hospital, Orange City, FL after a 7 year struggle with Sarcoma cancer. He is survived by his wife Joanne of 21 years. Born on August 28, 1953, he is the son of Roger and Edna Buffington of Westminster, MD. In addition to his wife and parents, he is also survived by daughters Megan Buffington of Tennessee and Barbara Johnson of Deland, FL. He is also survived by siblings Debbie Hamilton of Thurmont, MD, David Buffington of Union Bridge, MD and Dan Buffington of Keymar, MD. Plus 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son, J. A. Buffington on December 5, 1976. Roger graduated from Francis Scott Key High School in 1971 and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He was employed with Rinker Materials of Florida for 21 years. He was always an early riser and loved to go fishing. Though he had no formal training he was excellent at fixing computers.
