Ronald Taylor Obituary



Ronald F. Taylor, 62, of Pennsylvania, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, while sleeping at his home. 

Born Aug. 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Woodrow E. Taylor Sr. and Anna B. Warren Taylor.

He was a painting contractor specializing in high work. The highlight of his career came in the 1970s, when he painted the Capitol Dome in Washington, D.C., and again in the 1980s when he was a member of a group who made the Guinness Book of World Records for painting a superstructure faster than any other group of painters at that time.

Happiest when he was on the bay, he was an avid fisherman as well as a hunter. He also enjoyed trap/skeet shooting competitions.

Surviving are sisters and significant others Janet M. Schneider and Jim, Anna J. Morris and Melvin, and Brenda L. Taylor and Gary; an aunt, Shirley Warren Morefield; nieces and nephews Stacy E. Schneider, Mark R. Schneider II and significant other Kimberly, Kandy J. Rosenberger, Christopher Taylor and significant other Crystal, Scott Brady, and Woodrow E. Taylor II; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; one great-great-nephew; numerous cousins; a companion, Lisa Cramer; a friend, Connie Lovingood; a former wife; a daughter, Lisa Marie; and family member Cathy Montgomery and significant other Eugene.

He was predeceased by a brother, Woodrow Eugene Taylor Jr.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
