Ronnie Heaps Obituary



Ronnie E. Heaps, age 66, of Sykesville passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born November 30, 1950, in York, PA he was the son of Lorraine Peggy Landis Heaps of FL and the late Thomas Augustus Heaps. He was the loving husband of over 44 years to Ellen Rutter Heaps. Ronnie had owned and operated his excavating business known as JM Contractors, LLC. He enjoyed eating crabs, having picnics with friends and family, spending time on his deck drinking coffee and especially time spent with his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are daughters and son-in-law; Jennifer and Darrel Schneider of Woodbine, Melissa and Chris Curlett of Sykesville and Angela and Timothy Dionne of FL; son, Kyle A. White of Sykesville; sisters, Barbara Sadler, Shirley Merson and Joann Heaps and grandchildren, Jakob, Ashton, Jarod, Austin, Kloe and Andrew. Ronnie was predeceased by brothers, Dudley and Robert Heaps. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9:30am. Officiating will be Pastor Wally Webster of Mt. Airy Bible Church. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
