Ruth Gries Obituary

Ruth Anne Gries, age 58, of Owings Mills, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Bridginglife's Dove House, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 13, 1964, in Baltimore, MD to Clarabelle Green Reisberg Gries and the late Walter Philip Gries. Ruth was a graduate of Randallstown High School, Class of 1982. She then went to work as a jeweler and buyer with Finley Fine Jewelry. For the past several years she was a jeweler with Smythe Jewelers in Ellicott City. Ruth enjoyed traveling and collecting anything Snoopy. Surviving in addition to her mother are sisters Jan Berry and husband Glenn; Diane Klingelhofer and husband Larry and Lora Reshnet and partner Gary; nieces Jessica and husband Adam and Aimee and husband Daniel and great-niece Daisy. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will follow at 11am with Pastor Steven Cho officiating. Interment will be in Wards Chapel Cemetery, Randallstown. Flowers are appreciated or those desiring may make donations to Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.
