Sandra Sinn Kosiorek

1936 - 2024

Sandra (Cindy) Kosiorek of Sykesville, MD; beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all, after a long battle with diagnosed dementia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on 28 January 2024 at 1:35AM. She was 87 years old. Born on 11 July 1936 in Hagerstown, MD to John Freeman Sinn (Father) and Violet Thomas Sinn (Mother) was a long-time federal employee of 38 years. She was an accomplished artist, musician, world traveler, and seamstress, with all aspects of her talents dedicated for providing joy to others. Her continuous desire to help other people, learn new things, and understand other cultures is part of why everyone who knew her, loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Leo Kosiorek; her son, Christopher Kosiorek; three grandchildren; six nephews; and four nieces. She is preceded in her passing by her mother, father, and brother Rev. Thomas F. Sinn. Continuing in her never-ending desire to help others, she has donated her body to the Maryland State Anatomy Board to help with research and farther the study of disease processes like dementia. A celebration of life will be held in the late April or early May timeframe by invitation.
