Stephen Joseph "Steve" Dobry

1953 - 2021

Stephen "Steve" Joseph Dobry, 68, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Dove House. Born February 1, 1953, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Thomas John and Constance (Knasiak) Dobry. He was the loving and devoted husband of 40 years of Patricia (Pat) G. Dobry. Steve earned his bachelor's degree in computer sciences from Loyola College. He retired from the Social Security Administration after working over 29 years as an IT Specialist. Steve loved the outdoors and enjoyed planting and taking care of the flower gardens around his home. He had a kind and loving heart and a gentle spirit. Above all, Steve loved and cherished his family and friends. He was a living example of the Bible verse Ephesians 4:32- "and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving in addition to his wife are brothers Thomas Joseph Dobry and wife Tusha of Westminster, Joseph Gerard Dobry of Westminster, and Raymond Edward Dobry of Baltimore; adopted sister Merrie Griffin of Baltimore; nephew Thomas Victor Rouch, Sr., of Westminster; niece Lisa Cole and husband Scott of Rockville; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by nieces Deborah Watters and Kelly Lee. The family will welcome friends on Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Funeral services and interment will be private.
