Stephen A. Horn

Stephen Anthony Horn, 70, of Westminster, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at home. Born April 21, 1940, in Westminster, he was the son of the late George Joseph Horn and Mary Huber Horn. He was a 1958 graduate of St. John High School. Before retiring, he was a machinist at Black and Decker in Hampstead and worked several years for the Baltimore County government. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, and Knights of Columbus Council No. 1393. He was a car enthusiast and member of the "Street Cars of Desire." Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Kimberly M. and Kenneth N. Bogue, of East Berlin, Pa., and Stephanie L. and Charles Ogle, of Taylorsville; sisters and brothers-in-law Rosemary and Bud Hughes, of Aspers, Pa., Therese and Charles H. Nevius, of Westminster, and Ann Marie and Ralph M. Garber, of Hunterstown, Pa.; a brother, George J. Horn, of Westminster; grandchildren Julia Marie and Jonathan Nelson Bogue, of East Berlin, and Christopher Brent and Chloe Elizabeth Ogle, of Taylorsville; former wife Jane "Pennock" Gulde, of East Berlin, Pa.; and a friend, Joan Sherman, of Westminster; five nephews; and 14 nieces. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Joan Horn. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1353. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Monsignor Martin Feild officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
