Thelma Lynn Fritz

Thelma Lynn Fritz, age 72 of Finksburg, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Seasons Hospice at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. Born December 20, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Dean. She was the wife of David H. Fritz. They married August 14, 1964 and celebrated 54 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to her husband are children Deana K. Fritz of Finksburg, and Nancy Lynn Keiser and her husband Matt Keiser of New Windsor, grandchildren Drew, Kate, Brooke, and T.J., brother Charles Dean Jr. and his wife Mary Dean of Michigan, and nieces and nephews. Thelma began her career as a credit collector with Montgomery Ward. When she had her children she did in home daycare for many years while raising her kids. Later she was employed at Random House and for the last 20 years she worked at Jazzbo's Dog Grooming of Sykesville. She was a huge animal lover and activist, and an avid reader of many types of media, especially American history. She loved bird watching and sunbathing at her pool, camping with her best friend Nancy Bull, and babysitting her 4 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thelma's memory to the Carroll County Humane Society, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158.
