Timothy Sharkey Obituary
Timothy Scott Sharkey, 37, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center. Born May 28, 1980 in Westminster, he was the son of Stanley John Sharkey of Westminster and Pamela Sue Butler McCall of Randallstown. Tim worked at 28 South as a Sous Chef. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1998, where he was on the wrestling team and was a county champ. Tim graduated from the Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were the Orioles and Ravens. Along with his passion for cooking, Tim enjoyed spending time with children, animals, the outdoors and observing nature. Tim is also survived by his fiancé Crystal Stein of Hagerstown, brothers Jim Sharkey and wife Tammy of Taneytown, Steve Sharkey of Westminster, sisters Crystal Krainas and husband Dan of Melbourne, FL, Jenna Barron and Bryan Smith of Hanover, PA, nieces and nephews Kara, Stan, Annelie, Bella, Piper and Clover. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, where services will begin at 8 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at The Barn, 5187 Frye Road, Upperco, MD 21155. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tim's memory to your local Humane Society.

It's been two years since you left this earth to be in the arms of your loving Father. And although our time together was short...my memories of you are as long as a winter's night. You were special. You were passionate. You were unique. And I look forward to the day when we meet again and you toss me a baseball glove to play catch. I take comfort in knowing that you are in a much better place and don't have to suffer through another dreadful Orioles season. Peace and comfort to you Turtle Tim. You rock!

I had the privilege of knowing Tim when he was a 13 year old boy. I delighted in his passion for baseball and his extraordinary personality. Not a week goes by without me thinking of you and missing you Tim. I will never forget your million dollar smile. My condolences to Stan and Pam and his siblings. You were my favorite buddy.
