William Karl Obermueller

William Karl Obermueller, 83, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at BridgingLife's Dove House, Westminster. He was born on August 13, 1941, in Baltimore, MD to the late William Karl Obermueller and Anna Louise Nicolai Obermueller. He was the husband of 62 years to the late Sandra J. "Sandy" Obermueller who died in 2023. Karl retired as an engineer from AT&T and the former Western Electric. After retirement, Karl and his late wife, Sandy spent several years in Ocean City, where his grandchildren loved going to Opa's beach house. They then moved to Taneytown where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and wood carving. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Kristin and Brian Ebert of Finksburg and Karen and David Dyson of Littlestown, PA; brother and sister-in-law Paul and Paula Obermueller; sister and brother-in-law Trudy and Carlos Garzon; nieces and nephew Jessica Kester, Michael Garzon, and Erin Morris and grandchildren: Benjamin and Bailey Ebert and Amanda Hartlaub (Trenton) and great-grandchild Easton "Smiley" Hartlaub. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a memorial service will follow at 3pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to BridgingLife's Dove House, c/o: Development Office, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
