William Hamilton Triplett (Backhoe Bill), 85 of Finksburg Maryland passed away peacefully under hospice care at his daughter's house surrounded by his family and friends. Born July 16, 1937 to the late Harvey and Bertha Triplett of Randallstown Maryland. Bill was married to the love of his life Joan (Carr) Triplett of Atlee Hill Nursing and Rehab Westminster Maryland. Bill proudly served in the United States Army under the 29th Division of Field Artillery serving from 1963-1970. Bill was known to everyone in the community and everyone who knew him as Backhoe Bill, he started his career in construction at the age of 16 with retiring at the age of 84 from HTI Contractors in Finksburg Maryland. Owning his own business William H Triplett Contractors Incorporated working alongside his brothers. Bill would do anything for anyone he loved, all his neighbors and everyone in the community, he would have given you the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He was known for pushing snow, digging graves, putting in swimming pools, digging out septic systems and most of all doing the water and sewer lines for all of Carroll County. Bill was a wonderful Christian man serving God and doing his work by serving on the board of the Westminster Rescue Mission, The board of New Life for Girls and the Board of the Christian Business Men's Fellowship. He was also known for helping to start up the Westminster Rescue Mission store in
Sykesville, Maryland. Bill loved spending time tinkering with all of his equipment, enjoying well-spent time with his grandson Andrew, going to yard sales, and taking donuts to Petry's Junkyard in Westminster every Saturday, while stopping at Wendy's to grab a bowl of chili and a frosty. Bill is survived by his wife Joan of 59 years, his brother Charles Richard (Dicky) Triplett and wife Joyce of
Randallstown, Maryland, his sister-in-law Rosalie Triplett of
Finksburg, Maryland, his daughter and son-in-law Wanda Noyes (Thomas) of
Sykesville, Maryland, son and daughter-in-law William Hamilton Triplett Jr (Tammy ) of
Pleasant Shade, Tennessee, grandchildren and their spouses Allie and Allen Hallock of
Taneytown, Maryland, Bryan and Morgan Beatty of
Manchester, Maryland, Andrew Stickles of
Sykesville, Maryland, BJ, Shawn, Joey, Ashley and Tamara Triplett of Pleasant Shade Tennessee, great-grandchildren Griffin, Hailey, Maverick, Chloe, and Isabell. His best friends, Dave Thompson of
Westminster, Maryland and Ed Starrett of Finksburg Maryland. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Harvey Albert (Al) Triplett of
Finksburg, Maryland, Robert Lee (Bob) Triplett of
Finksburg, Maryland, son-in-law James Stickles of
Sykesville, Maryland and granddaughter Hailey Louise Triplett of St Mary's, Maryland. The family would like to thank his granddaughters Allie and Morgan for staying around the clock to keep Pop comfortable in his last few hours. The Bridge Life Hospice Team, Dr. Mendoza, Dr. Kuna, Dr, Ezumba, and his two favorite nurses Sharon Zaruba and Theresa Kleff. Bill continues to give by donating his body to the Anatomy Gift Registry so that someone may be able to use, learn or find a cure through his donation.
