Larry,
We didn´t know Eleanor very well or very long, just from Sunday School. She made a great impression on us by her demeanor and grace. We know how she suffered, but we were impressed by her attitude that God´s love and grace were her strength and refuge. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration.

We know that you miss her terribly, but will one day you will reunite with her in Paradise.

God bless you friend.

I first met Frau Brawner in the late 60s as a freshman at FKHS. I can truly say that she was my all time favorite. It was because of her influence that I spent 34 years as a teacher. She influenced my reckon to become a teacher. What a wonderful influence she was! I was lucky enough to reconnect with her on the internet a few years ago. Thank you for being an influence on my life and a truly caring and wonderful lady. You will be missed.

We were playmates in Chanute, KS when our parents taught there in the public schools. She found me on FB several years ago and we had fun with memories and photos. I know you will miss her.

I had the benefit and blessing of knowing Elanor Brawner as a teacher as a teenager at Ft. Knox High School in the early 70's. She went far beyond teaching us German; she actually cared about us in a way that inspired us in life. So much so that her influence is remembered by hundreds of students to this day. Most importantly, her Light for Christ shined brightly as she shared the Gospel by the way that she lived - an example for us all. I will ever remember her, and will be mindful to follow the simple advice she recently gave me when I expressed concern about sharing the Good News with struggling acquaintances: "Just tell them," she said.

Beloved teacher, kind friend, witness for Christ. Deepest appreciation for her life, and prayers of comfort for her family.

My cousin was an inspirational person and will be greatly missed by many. The soul would have no rainbow if the eye had no tear. I suspect there to be many of both.

The Covid-19 sure has put a damper on things that didn't need any help to have more of a "damper" put on! We were poised and ready to come, bringing Susan Williams Jackson with us, when we were told to "play it safe" and stay home. We decided to honor that request - begrudgingly. My cousin, Elanor, had the cutest giggle, and she giggled at times that most of us would have NEVER thought there was anything to be happy about. She was inspirational!
