Jones Lawless Jr.

Jones Lawless, Jr., 92, of Hustonville passed away at his home on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021.
Born May 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Lemuel Jones and Ollie Cleveland Lawless. He farmed his entire life. Jones was a member of Middleburg Baptist Church. He has served as deacon in several Baptist churches, taught Sunday School, and was Bible Chairman for many years of Lincoln County Gideons International.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Norris Lawless; sister, LaFern Higgins; and brothers: Ray, Lester, and Charles Lawless.
He is survived by his daughter, Ginger L. East and her husband, Dexter East of Hustonville; sister, Charlotte (Albert) Wall of Frankfort; three step-grandchildren: Rachel (Brian) Switzer, Sarah (Josh) Peavler, and Daniel (Laura) East; and seven step-great grandchildren: Abi, Kennedy, Rylan, Ella, Thomas, Izzy, and Owen.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A funeral service followed at 1 p.m. with Bro. Keith Bowling, Bro. Larry Harris, and Bro. Dexter East officiating. Pallbearers were Steve, Brad, Seth, Clay, Blake, Bryan and Wells Lawless, Brent Ellis and Calab Hurst. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Middleburg Baptist Church: RD Lanham, Barry Murphy, Kenneth Lucas, and Mike Wilson; his Sunday School teacher, Curtis Lucas; and caregivers: Roseanne Wilson, Sue Richard, Linda Richards, Heather Pierre, and Brenda Sanders. Burial was in the Hustonville Cemetery.
