Cherie Jacobson Obituary

Cherie Jacobson, 59

Cherie June Jacobson June 8, 1966 – August 13, 2025

Cherie June Jacobson, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 13, 2025, at her home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho..

Born on June 8, 1966, in Watertown, Minnesota, Cherie was the cherished daughter of Walter Harley Pryor and Audreye Jeanette Fedor, both of whom preceded her in death. Her brothers George (deceased) and Bill, and her sister Tammy, reconnected later in life after growing up in foster care. She later reconnected with her father Walter and his wife Jo Ann, Cherie's adopted mother and made many wonderful memories we will always be thankful for.

A graduate of Coeur d' Alene High School, Cherie dedicated her life to the calling she valued most-being a devoted wife and mother. She poured her heart into her home, raising her two sons, Ryan and Tyler, with unwavering love, faith, and encouragement. She also found joy and artistry as a skilled scrapbooker, preserving precious memories not only for her own family but for others as well.

Though she lived much of her life with a chronic illness, Cherie's spirit was never dimmed. She chose gratitude over bitterness, joy over despair, and faith over fear. Her life was a testimony to the truth of Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." She found delight in life's simple blessings, especially time with her sons, Ryan and Tyler.

Cherie faithfully supported ministries close to her heart, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Global Christian Relief, and Juvenile Justice Outreach. While she could not attend in-person services, she and her husband joined Coeur d'Alene Community Church online and read the Bible together daily, strengthening their walk with the Lord.

Cherie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Scott Alan Jacobson, her sons Ryan Alan Jacobson and Tyler Scott Jacobson, her brother William (Bill) Harley Pryor, her sister Tammy Marie Pryor, her adopted mother Jo Ann Pryor, and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.

At Cherie's request, no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Juvenile Justice Outreach, continuing her legacy of compassion and care for others.

Her life was a quiet but powerful sermon of faith, love, and perseverance. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
